SF43 EXIT/EMERGENCY LIGHTING

Exit/Emergency Light Checklist
  • Check there has been no power interruption for at least 16 hours prior to test
  • Carry out discharge test to ensure the luminaries remain illuminated for the required in service duration (90 minutes)
  • Re-instate power to luminaries and check that the battery charge operation indicator functions correctly
  • Report any failures and replace faulty fittings with stock provided by Sturdie Trade Services – install label with date & fitting number

  • Using a clean cloth, clean reflective surfaces of all exit and emergency luminaires.
Timers
  • Check timers for correct operation and timing
Switched Socket Outlets
  • Carry out visual check on SSOs for signs of misuse, blackening or deterioration
  • Check and report any outlets with multiple power boards overloading
  • Ensure any power boards used have an integral over-current limiter
